The Netherlands Epidemiological Society aims to sustain and stimulate the field of epidemiology in the Netherlands. Since its founding in 1986, the Society is represented by various organisations in public health, scientific research and Dutch policy. The Society coordinates the official certification of epidemiologists in the Netherlands. At the moment, there are more than one thousand Society members.
