To support initiatives within the framework of the objectives of the VvE, the VvE makes small grants available. These offer the possibility to establish a so-called Special Interest Group.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Objectives<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Connecting epidemiologists and actively involving its members in the objectives of the VvE<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Promoting contact between epidemiologists who have a common interest in an epidemiological theme<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Promoting content-related continuing education on topics within epidemiology<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Offer young researchers (end of PhD\/post-doc) the opportunity to set up a network around an epidemiological topic<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Procedure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Proposals can be submitted throughout the year using the <strong><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Application-form_VvE-Special-Interest-Group.docx\" target=\"_blank\">application form<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Proposals can be submitted to the secretariat of the VvE: secretariaat@epidemiologie.nl<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Submitted proposals will be discussed at the next AB meeting, provided they are submitted at least 14 days prior to the AB meeting.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Feedback of the decision to the applicant(s) will follow as soon as possible after the AB meeting.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Upon completion of the grant, applicants will prepare a brief written summary of the project and results achieved. This summary will be sent to the secretariat by email. The summary will be placed on the VvE website.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Aarde-zeshoek.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Conditions<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The intended activity:<br \/>(1) is consistent with the objectives of the SIG grant and<br \/>(2) leads to a concrete result within the duration of the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Criteria on which the application will be evaluated are:\n<ul>\n<li>Subject relevant for members of the HOA (relevance)<\/li>\n<li>Activity accessible for members of the HOA (accessibility)<\/li>\n<li>Concrete and practicable (feasibility)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Projects have a maximum duration of 2 years<\/li>\n<li>For a one-year project, a maximum of \u20ac250 can be applied for, and a maximum of \u20ac500 for a two-year project.
