The Child and Growth Foundation (SKG-LRG) is a national foundation which is responsible for the assessment of requests for growth hormone (GH) treatment in children with severe growth disorders and for the database containing the medical data of GH-treated children (National Registry GH Treatment Children, LRG). The foundation also provides advice on growth disorders and GH treatment to doctors, other health care providers and to parents of children with growth disorders. The foundation is located at Westzeedijk 106, 3016 AH Rotterdam.<\/p>\n

Work<\/strong>
\nAs coordinator of the LRG, the physician-epidemiologist is responsible for the assessment of the indication for GH treatment in children. Requests from paediatric endocrinologists for the start of GH treatment in children are assessed according to treatment guidelines, after which a recommendation is issued. Complex cases are submitted anonymously to a panel of paediatric endocrinologists. You will supervise the annual review of growth data of treated patients. You will answer questions about the effect of GH treatment in groups of patients, in collaboration with the data manager. As coordinator of the LRG you will also supervise the data manager and registration staff, especially with regard to the quality of the database. Also performing scientific research in the field of growth disorders and GH treatment, especially based on the LRG database, is part of the tasks.<\/p>\n

Job requirements<\/strong>
\nCompleted medical school (doctor’s exam). Experience in the field of pediatrics and\/or pediatric endocrinology. Experience with data processing and analysis of medical data.
\nYou have excellent writing skills and good communication skills.<\/p>\n

Terms of employment<\/strong>
\nSalary level: scale 10 (minimum \u20ac 2911.00 — maximum \u20ac 4615.00 gross) with a full working week.
\nEmployment contract: Employment contract for a fixed period with a view to an indefinite period
\nContract duration: 12 months, subject to an evaluation of suitability.
\nNumber of hours per week: 24 hours per week<\/p>\n
