De Commissie Gezondheid en beroepsmatige blootstelling aan stoffen (GBBS) beoordeelt stoffen waaraan werknemers op hun werkplek blootstaan op nadelige gezondheidseffecten. Dit kan leiden tot een aanbeveling voor een gezondheidskundige advieswaarde voor beroepsmatige blootstelling. De commissie kent twee subcommissies. De Subcommissie Classificatie carcinogene stoffen heeft als taak het beoordelen of stoffen, waaraan werknemers op de werkplek kunnen worden blootgesteld, mutageen en kankerverwekkend zijn. De Subcommissie Classificatie reproductietoxische stoffen beoordeelt de gevolgen van blootstelling aan stoffen voor de vruchtbaarheid, de ontwikkeling van het nageslacht en effecten op het nageslacht via lactatie. De bevindingen van de subcommissies zijn gebaseerd op de door de Europese Unie gekozen formulering en classificatie-indeling voor stoffen die kankerverwekkend zijn of schadelijk voor de voortplanting. De aanbevelingen van de Commissie GBBS en haar twee subcommissies dienen als uitgangspunt voor het wettelijk vaststellen van een grenswaarde op de werkplek door de minister van SZW en opname in de formele CMR-lijst van het ministerie van SZW.<\/p>\n<p>De Gezondheidsraad zoekt voor de Subcommissie Classificatie carcinogene stoffen:<br \/>\n\u2022 Een algemeen toxicoloog met belangstelling voor risicobeoordeling van carcinogene stoffen.<br \/>\n\u2022 Een genetisch toxicoloog met ervaring met het beoordelen van genotoxiciteitsstudies binnen het regulatoire kader.<br \/>\n\u2022 Een epidemioloog met ervaring in het beoordelen van observationeel onderzoek naar kanker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Werkzaamheden, onafhankelijkheid en vergoeding<\/strong><br \/>\nU gaat op persoonlijke titel deel uitmaken van de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gezondheidsraad.nl\/over-ons\/organisatie\/vaste-commissies\/gezondheid-en-beroepsmatige-blootstelling-aan-stoffen\/subcommissie-classificatie-carcinogene-stoffen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Subcommissie Classificatie carcinogene stoffen<\/a><\/strong>. De vergaderstukken en (concept)adviezen worden opgesteld door de wetenschappelijk secretarissen van de commissies. Vergaderingen vinden gemiddeld 1x per 8-10 weken plaats, virtueel of in Utrecht.<br \/>\nOnafhankelijkheid van de leden is voor de advisering essentieel. Aan de hand van een belangenverklaring worden kandidaat-commissieleden getoetst op mogelijke financi\u00eble belangen, persoonlijke relaties die tot belangen kunnen leiden, opdrachtonderzoek en publiek-private samenwerking. Belangenverklaringen van commissieleden worden gepubliceerd op de website van de Gezondheidsraad.<br \/>\nLeden krijgen per vergadering vacatiegeld en hun reiskosten worden vergoed.
