VvE Oral presentatieprijs 2023

Het bestuur van de Vereniging voor Epidemiologie is verheugd de VvE Oral presentatieprijs 2023 toe te kennen aan:

Henri van Werkhoven

Met de abstract: “Information bias in estimating vaccine effectiveness due to informed consent for COVID-19 vaccine register”

De jury bestaande uit: Frank Wolters van het Erasmus MC Rotterdam, Kevin Jenniskens van het UMC Utrecht en Iris van Rooij van het Radboudumc Nijmegen kwam tot het volgende besluit:

“The jury had the pleasant task of hearing the excellent work of all nominees for the VvE Oral Presentation Award, and was impressed by the presentation skills of the nominees. In the end, however, the jury was unanimous in their decision on the winner. This presenter excelled in portraying a clear and relevant story of their research to the audience, while providing good insight into the methodological challenges of their work. This project thereby showed how the core values of epidemiology can help shape public heatlh  policy, to which this research provided an important contribution.”

De VvE Oral Presentatieprijs is op 23 juni 2023 uitgereikt tijdens het jaarlijks epidemiologisch congres (WEON), georganiseerd door het Erasmus MC Rotterdam.
